Choose the right photo for your next look

A practical guide to preparing photos for hairstyle previews, headshots, virtual try-on, and analysis.

LookBetter

A clear photo gives your chosen tool a useful starting point. Before uploading, choose an image that shows the features or clothing you want to explore without heavy filters or distracting shadows.

Start with a clear view of you

Use even lighting and keep your face in focus. Avoid strong beauty filters, sunglasses, and anything that hides the features the tool needs to see. When the tool asks for a front-facing photo, look toward the camera.

You do not need to edit your appearance first. Start with a photo that represents you, then use the studio to explore a change.

Match the photo to the tool

  • Hairstyle Studio: choose a clear, front-facing photo with your hairline visible. Add a short description of the cut, length, or color you want to explore.
  • AI Headshots: add one to three clear, well-lit selfies. Photos with your face visible provide an identity reference for the professional portraits.
  • Virtual Try-On: add a full-body or half-body photo of yourself and a separate photo of the garment. Keep the garment visible, ideally against a plain background.
  • Face Analysis: use a clear, front-facing photo with even lighting so your features are visible.
  • Skin Analysis: choose a makeup-free photo in natural light and avoid filters that change the appearance of your skin.

Check before you start

Review the selected photo in the studio. If it is blurry, heavily shadowed, or the wrong image, change it before running the tool. For Virtual Try-On, check both your photo and the garment photo. For Hairstyle Studio, make sure your description matches the idea you want to try.

The studio shows the credit cost before you run a tool. Check it alongside your photo so you know what you are starting.

Use the result as a starting point

Generated images are previews and can differ from a real haircut, garment, or photo session. Analysis reports offer AI-generated observations based on the uploaded image. Use them to explore possibilities and decide what you want to try next.
